YIZKOR MEMORIAL BOOKLET

On our major festivals and especially on Yom Kippur, Jews around the world are bound together
through the religious experience of Yizkor (Memorial Service) in which we remember those of our
relatives who have passed away.

Recognising that a variety of machzorim (prayer books) are used by our members, this year we are
producing a Yizkor Booklet to enable everyone to follow the Yizkor service.  This booklet will include
the names of all the relatives whom our members wish to memorialise.  (If you don't know the Hebrew
name of your family member, the Burial Society should be able to provide it). 

If you would like the name(s) of your relatives included in this year’s Yizkor booklet, please complete
the form (click here) and return to the Shul office at the address above by 20th July 2009 after which time
no further names can be added. It is our intention to make this an annual publication. It is a traditional
custom to make a donation at this time and we suggest a donation of £20 per family. Cheques should be
made payable to NMHC.
